Description

This rare 1967 LSD documentary LP was issued by Capitol records to warn of the dangers of LSD. The back cover reads as follows: "A documentary report on the current psychedelic drug controversy! LSD ...Actual recordings of people under the influence of psychedelic drugs...Psychedelic music...The sounds of the 'acid test'...LSD users and pushers and the amazing story of LSD in action...Comments by such LSD authorities as Sidney Cohen, M.D., the controversial Dr. Timothy Leary, Mrs. Aldous Huxley, and Allen Ginsberg." Inside the gatefold cover are black and white photos of people tripping and a glossary of terms used in the album such as "acidhead", "bum trip", "drop a cap", "freakout", and "the Grateful Dead". The cover looks to be in excellent condition with little apparent wear. From an Answers.com review: "some of that 'psychedelic music' -- particularly the fast-paced tune heard at the beginning of side two -- is that of Neal Cassidy and a pre-Grateful Dead combo called the Warlocks performing "Speed Limit" circa 1965." The vinyl is in mint condition. It has never been played. Side 1 is "The Scene". Side 2 is "The Trip".

I'm now seeing there's a 1" split at the top of the album cover where the record is inserted.
