Product Description Offering a quite remarkable piece of election history! For the 1964 Presidential Election Campaign, ABC News recorded the major remarks of the incumbent Lyndon Johnson and the challenger, Barry Goldwater, over a 2 year period. They took their comments on issues of the day - vital issues of war and peace in Vietnam among others, issues that affect every American - and presented them on this record so the public could "decide who is best qualified to lead the nation in the uncertain days that lie ahead."
Narrated by newscaster Don Gardiner, one of the first who covered the JFK assassination in 1963.
There are nine different tracks - they call them "bands" - covering the topics including Civil Rights, Foreign Aid, Vietnam, NATO, Soviet American Relationships and more..

Album cover shows wear and tear to cardboard but the record itself is truly an amazing piece of history! A wonderful reference piece, unlikely to ever see another one! We
