Description

1st issue 1964 UK HMV stereo SDAN 143/144/145 The Callas Carmen (with Pretre, at Paris, alongside Gedda). Luxury Padded Box Issue on 3 lp's, produced in a limited run, a standard 1st year SAN also exists, the D in SDAN is for Deluxe). Rarest of all issues of this, the label variant is still gold labels and a white nipper, but the angel is in red to match the padded red vinyl box, which also has gilt lettering. There are three booklets

GRADINGS :       

                                         mint        this means the sleeve is still sealed and has therefore never been played.

                                         near mint     means the vinyl will have no visible marks or hairlines. The sleeve/box will appear perfect as when new. It may look unplayed.

                                   excellent +    means the vinyl will have virtually no visible faults but some minor signs of having been played around the spindle hole. The sleeve may have the smallest of faults but nothing of importance

                               excellent     means the vinyl will still look good but with perhaps a couple of very light hairlines or finger marks etc.... the sleeve will have perhaps some ringwear and smudges but no tears or stains.

                               excellent minus    means the vinyl will have signs of playing and hairlines or minor marks but nothing that should affect play significantly.There will be no deep scratches.The sleeve may have ringwear or small stains or tears.

                                VG+    and  VG  ........all faults on vinyl and sleeve will be described.


POSTAGE ..................please note that as of September 4th eBay now charge final value fees on postage as well as the item. It costs £3 to post an LP within the U.K. and about £ 0.35. Therefore the postage charge of £3.60 leaves £3.24 after ebay fees and £2.94 after packing materials  and minus £0.06 after royal mail postage charge.. I therefore  make nothing on postage charges.
