Description
I am selling this very reluctantly having put in a fair amount of time and trouble to restore it to excellent playing and reasonable cosmetic condition. Need some cash !
When I aquired this the front looked as if it had been brushed with treacle, there wasmuch wear on the first 4 fretboard positions and the frets, the neck joint had the usual split at the block and another starting where the pine tongue is joined under the fretboard. It also had a namsless pickup fitted to the neck.
The following work has been completed on it
Neck heel joints reglued
Fretboard wear filled and first 4 frets replaced
Complete Fret dress
Front stripped and relaquered with cellulose this time!!
2 Diamond Logo pickups & repro control panel fitted
New Gold plated Lyre tailpiece fitted
Action set at anout 2.5 mm on base string at 12th fret
There are still a few dinks, some buckle rash on the back , a scuff on the side across the binding on the base but nothing that wouldn't be seen on most guitars that are five years old not over forty six.
The original pickups for this guitar were probably the black single coils with height adjusters but the diamond logos fitted are not far out date wise, they work well.
This is a pre truss rod model so the nsck is a good handfull but as the action is low (without any buzzing) it is not uncomfortable as long as you don't have tiny mitts.
Has lovely flamed maple back and sides with spruce laminated front, just remembered the machineheads are all original and in excsllent condition, is fitted with flatwound strings for that mellow jazz sound.Just to say that all the work done has been to a proffesional standard, have been making,repairing & restoring guitars and various related stringed instruments for over thirty years,this statement makes me feel very old.not quite a teenager when this guitar was made !!

Afraid there is no case but will pack very,very securely.
Postage is a guess at £20 have to put down something Will give a more axxurate figure when packed
