You are bidding on the pictured Songbird jukebox made by Carson City mfg in 1989. This jukebox was built, from the factory, to look like a 57 Ford T-bird/thunderbird. This is a very hard to find, collectible, working jukebox that looks great and would look even better in your den, man cave, garage/workshop(right next to that 57 T-bird), or family room. These jukeboxes were built in 1989-90 with a limited production run. These were marketed more towards the private collectors, so many of them never came with coin equipment installed from the factory. Carson city made these boxes to take either classic 45's or CD's. Most of these boxes that I have seen up for market at some time in the past have all been CD jukeboxes. I am not sure as to how many cd boxes were produced and how many 45 jukeboxes were produced, however, this company did have limited production runs on these jukeboxes as they were all hand built. One neat feature on the box is the flashing taillights, and they even put lights in the exhaust tips and one behind the license plate, which is a standard size license plate for all you car buffs out there. This box holds 80 records to give you 160 total selections. This jukebox, when first introduced to market in 1989, was on display at Macy's in New York with a $10,000 price tag. The coin equipment appears to be all here, however it is currently untested. It has been a while since it has been plugged in and used. The jukebox looks great but does have some imperfections from being 24 years old. As with any used electronics, this item is sold with no warranties or guarantees.
