ONE OF THE ALL-TIME MOST SOUGHT AFTER AND COLLECTABLE ELVIS PRESLEY RECORDS IN EXISTENCE.  I HAVE RUN ACROSS 2 OF THESE IN THE LAST 10 YEARS THAT WERE IN SELLABLE CONDITION - THIS IS ONE OF THEM.

AUCTION SPECIFICS AND CONDITION:  

THE COVER:

The cover has beautiful full-color graphics on the front.  For being 52 years old, it looks new at first glance from the front.  There is just the lightest of wear in two or three spots.  The booklet inside is competely intact and still very well secured with no signs of being loose.  There is no writing on the cover or booklet, or no ringwear on either thr front or back.  The corners are nice and square with the edges showing wear, but nothing that would classify as major.  The record pocket has a split running up and down the entire length of the spine.  This is a common thing with this lp as the spine is actually a strip of cloth that has been glued to that edge of the cover.  This one sports the gold lettering on the spine which is all there and intact - fully readable.  The back photo shows signs of moisture with a few spots as seen in the pic.  This moisture has also gotten on the top edge of the booklet inside and lightly stained some of the pages with 2 of the pages having become stuck together.  Overall, its a nice cover - not a gem by any standards, but better than 90% of the ones I come across.  Again, most that I see are beat up and tattered. 

THE RECORD:

I hope you can see from the photos that the lp is a blazing full gloss on the vinyl.  It has a gorgeous shine for being 52 years old.  There are a very few fingernail type scuffies or scratches, but no major scratches.  The label has numerous spindle marks which is normal for an lp of this popularity that probably got played every holiday season for several years.  Its a very nice lp that I play tested.  It has some noise in the entry dead wax probably from needle drops of years gone by, but quiets down considerably once the music plays.  Very enjoyable listening lp with sporadic light play noise.
