Description


Here's an original 16" RCA TRANSCRIPTION DISC "CHRISTMAS SEAL SALE 1951" CONTAINING TWO 15-MINUTE RADIO SHOWS: "FIBBER McGEE AND MOLLY" and "THE JACK SMITH-MARGARET WHITING SHOW".  These special programs were made on behalf of the National Tuberculosis Association.  This particular disc has the handwritten notation "WBDB" (a radio station in the Richmond Virginia area) and play dates of "11/26/51" and "11/29/51".  

Fibber McGee tries to avoid shoveling snow while getting visits from Doc Gamble, The Old Timer and a traveling salesman.

Jack Smith and Margaret Whiting are joined by Frank DeVol and his Orchestra.  They sing "Happy Holidays" (both), "Moonlight in Vermont" (Margaret), "It's A Lovely Day Today" (Jack), "I Am Loved" (Margaret), "Miss Fogarty's Christmas Cake" (Jack), "Bless This House" (both) and they each take some time to encourage purchases of Christmas Seals.
