1950's Mono Jazz on Blue Note: THE AMAZING BUD POWELL, Volume 2 BLP 1504 RVG EX+

Bud Powell ?– The Amazing Bud Powell, Volume 2

THE VINYL :  EX+ :  Lightly played with minimal evidence of spindlewear, both sides of the LP retain all of their original gloss with bright labels (please see photos). Present on both sides are a few light marks, including some sleevewear from the original paper inner sleeve and a few minor hairlines. There are no deep marks.

In all, the record has been carefully handled and produces a clean, strong, mono audio.

Both labels have some light and shallow indentations from what appears to be the pressing process- under a magnifying glass, they look to be stamped (as opposed to etched) lettering. You should be able to see these by using the magnification feature on the label photos.

Rudy Van Gelder is the mastering engineer: His etched initials (RVG) are in the deadwax run out on both sides (please see the deadwax matrices listed below).



THE COVER :  EX+ :  Well-stored with some minor scuffing / laminated / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / if you look at the photo of the back cover, in the lower right corner you can see a small amount of ink writing / no other writing, no paper loss, paper tears, dirt, or stains.


We have placed both the cover and the LP into separate, protective plastic sleeves.
