Description
This auction is for one of the two vintage "Vogue The Picture Records" that we are listing this week, both from the 1940's with full color graphics; music performed by Dick La Salle and his Society Orchestra; "A Tom Saffady Product; Licensed for non-commercial use on home phonographs only. Sav-Way Industries, Detroit 15, Michigan; Pat. Pending". This record is number "R748" and has the songs "Let Me Take You in My Arms" by Lew Garfield, Paul Shanin and Bill Young on one side and "It's Alway You" by Bill Young and Paul Shanin on the other side; both titles are also written in Spanish, don't have a phonograph so wasn't able to play these through, don't know if the record also has the Spanish version of the songs or not; record is in very nice overall physical condition with excellent color retention, light wear can be seen when tipped in the light, has a few flea bite/to minimal edge chips but nothing major, no cracks or warps. OUTSTANDING 1940's ERA ARTWORK, signed by M. Kaniousi and R. Forbes. Much information on Dick La Salle and his long career can be found online.
