So this month I'm working my way through a record collection assembled by a newspaper critic who lived well into her 90s: She accumulated some very interesting discs in her career, and I thought I'd try some of them on the Greater Ebay Public.  Most of the records have been well kept, though for some reason, a lot of the LABELs are scratched even when the grooves of the record are nice and clean.

Every time i go through this collection, I find something else to list.  This is Decca 17402, with a pair of calypso numbers which were recorded in trinidad in 1939.  We have The growler, backed by the Night owls' orchestra on "The Coldness of the Water", and on the flip we have Atilla the Hun, backed by the Cyril Monrose orchestra with "Five year Plan" (which was written by Cyril Monrose.  Purchaser pays $4 no frills shipping and handling within US, more for international or insurance
