Description

     This is an original large Store wall display sign from RCA Victor advertising their 78 rpm Records. This was painted on thin masonite, and is quite fragile--this piece likely dates to the late 1930s, and measures 47 in. across. The painted surface has been stabilized with lacquer. When found, this was backed with a matching plywood board-- for the safety of this item, the sign will be shipped with the board.

    

This is worn--some of the original paint is gone especially from the red label--some is replaced on the black portions with parts 'touched up' over the years--it has a number of screw holes where it was attached to a plywood backing, as well as a few larger holes in the thin masonite.
