Description
1906 Kalamazoo Record. Almost Mint. Beautiful Label
This is the orange/peach label that Kalamazoo used about 1906.
A novel approach to early sound employed two such horns arranged side-by-side to seemingly offer “twice the sound,” or at least that was the attempt. With just such a model, the Duplex Phonograph Company made a very brief yet significant impact on the commercial sound recording industry.
The Duplex two horn phonograph was the brainchild of Charles E. Hill, a self proclaimed “talking machine” expert from Lincoln, Nebraska.
This label, used briefly, uses the slogan "The Duplex Phonograph"and has a neat pictue of the Kalamazoo Phonograph.
The record is "near" mint and plays loud and clear throughout. It will play on any Victor or the like phonograph.
If you collect labels, it seems to me this ought to be in your collection.
I will ship to Canada and Europe. (Shipping to be decided.)
Thanks.
