About This Record. This is a really cool package of 13th Floor Elevators stuff.  This is a Mono cover with both mono and stereo vinyl (NO STEREO COVER), and an original rare Fanzine from 1975 about the history of this band, and a rare Poster from 1967 promoting their awesome hit, You're Gonna Miss Me.  Read on, and please read my feedback.  I sell records only, and only cool ones.

WHY am I selling this; two kids in college, record budget is what I sell.  Read my feedback; I sell/trade only vinyl; I am not a dealer, just a collector trying to focus my collection and continue to trade important vinyl.  I don't usually offer anything on Ebay that I think is worth less than $50 because it is not worth my time or yours.  I prefer to sell $500+ items like this and other stuff I have up for auction.  I ship happily anywhere in the world; I love my overseas friends, as you all know.

The Poster:  This includes a laminated poster featuring the Elevators You're Gonna Miss Me from Cashbox Magazine from 1966; this will be sent in a separate mailer. Essential for any Roky Erickson/13th Floor Elevators collection.

The Magazine.  This also comes with Volume 1 No. 1 Not Fade Away Magazine from Fall 1975, The Texas Music Magazine with a full feature about the 13th Floor Elevators.  I like this because in 1975 the folks who participated had much better memories than they do now, and were less likely to make up stories that did not really exist.  Lots of rare pics and stories, guaranteed original.

The Labels: Mono copy labels are EX- on Side one (no damage, some wear), and VG on Side 2 (Wear, and name in ball point pen on label at top).  Stereo copy lables are Ex- and EX-; wear but no significant problems.

The Cover: The Mono cover (there is NO Stereo coverL) is in Fair condition.  Not Good, not Very Good, but Fair.  Why?  The top and bottom seams and spine are 'repaired' with masking tape, original masking tape which indeed looks 40 years old.  You can try and repair if you want, but I don't do that.  There is a small name on the back cover in pen, and a small initial on front cover; otherwise, cover is bold and looks nice, although it has creases.  Still, the cover is all there.

The Vinyl:  

Mono Copy:  No skips or sticks, just background noise and the occasional click and ticks of love for Roky. 

Side 1: [Solid VG]

Song 1 (you're gonna miss me) plays VG overall, from G+ to EX-.

Song 2 plays VG- to EX=, mostly EX-, except for the beginning.

Song 3 plays G to VG+ (slow song, some background noise, still enjoyable, a personal favorite song)

Song 4 Plays VG to EX- (Reverbarationo)

Song 5 Don't Fall down plays VG+ to EX

Side 2: 

[Again, no skips, sticks, etc., lots of marks from play, but a real solid player, but not looker].

Song 1:  Plays G to EX-; 15 to 20 clicks on this one with background noise, but no feelable scratches.

Song 2:  Plays VG to EX 

Song 3:  Plays VG to EX

Song 4:  (Monkey Island) Looks Fair, plays VG- background noise

Song 5:  Plays VG+

Song 4:  VG++; this song has 6 (counted them twice) ticks at the end of track 4, otherwise plays EX to M-.  Ticks aren't so bad, really.  This is the weak point of the LP (but not my favorite song anyway).

Song 5 NM- some minor static also for a short second or two at odd places in song.

Song 6  NM-; light noise for a second or two that is noticeable

Song 3 (House of Rising Son) EX has one medium pop, and two light pops, and a little bit of static for one or two seconds.  Try finding another so quiet in such a quiet song!

Song 4 (freight train blues) EX+ (two light pops)

Song 5 Plays NM to M-

Song 6 Plays EX has two medium pops, and one light pop.
