Incredibly rare item. This appears to be the 1997 Holland issue 12" vinyl 5 track featuring the song Smile as well as several remixes. It is housed in the famous Charlie Chaplin sleeve. The record was only in Dutch stores for about 3 days and then pulled from the shelves and destroyed by Sony. Very few copies made it into people's hands.
If you are someone who knows about MJ collectibles then you already know what to look for on this item to ensure its authenticity. I am listing as is and making a point to include all the pictures of every important spot. To me, the most important part is this: the 2 numbers in the grooves. Zoom in to the photos to see the engraved numbers. The glare and "spotlight" in the pictures was almost impossible to avoid and, for obvious reasons, I am not going to photoshop it out. Again, I have taken pictures of every spot so you will have to make your own decision. What I am confident about is the engraved numbers inside the grooves of the vinyl. Seems impossible to duplicate, but you can decide for yourself. See pictures #11 and 12 which can be better seen if you zoom the photos. I can only tell you what I know and I do not make any claim to be an MJ authenticator! I cannot verify its authenticity but I have thought since owning it that it is authentic. I am just a fan who has to sell the items that I have collected over many years.
The disc is at least VG+ shape. The outer sleeve has several small bends and one larger bend. I took photos of all of those. So I am not sure if you would rate the cover as G+ or VG- given the rarity.
