10" Howard McGhee 6et vol.2 w.G.Gryce-H.Silver Blue Note DG Lexington original jazz
Howard McGhee  ' Howard McGee Sextet vol.2 '  BLUE NOTE BLP 5024 (USA) original 10" deep groove label - Lexington address - issued in 1953
Howard McGhee : trumpet - Gigi Gryce : alto sax, flute - Horace Silver : piano - Tal Farlow : guitar - Percy Heath : bass - Walter Bolden : drums Side 1 : Jarm (McGhee) - Good-bue (Jenkins) - Futurity (Gryce) Side 2 : Shabozz (Gryce) - Tranquillity (McGhee) - Ittapnna (Bolden)
Visual grading : record is VG- to VG has still some lustre with some light marks on both sides and one more evident feelable short scratch at the beginning of side 2
Playing grading : record plays Good+ to VG-  it plays G+ on first track of both sides and plays VG-  / VG on second and third tracks of both sides. However sound is always loud and clear and record is still enjoyable. Side 1 has a light but continuous background noise and crackling more audible in quieter parts. Also has several occasional tics/pops more audible on first track. Side 2 at the beginning has some audible repeated tics, for about 1 minute, caused by the mentioned scratch in visual grading, plus has some light occasional tics here and there. Takes 2 and 3 plays much better.
Cover grading : cover is EX+ has very short split on lower right corner. Overall very nice and clean
