RARE DIXIELAND JAZZ RECORD PRODUCED BY PISTON RODS RECORDS OF NEW JERSEY, FORMED OF PRINCETON JAZZ ENTHUSIASTS.
I found this tidbit on this group on a Princetoniana Museum website on the IVJB, or Intensely Vigorous Jazz Band:
"The Intensely Vigorous Jazz Band (IVJB), styled as a Dixieland band, was formed by John Dengler '48 in the spring of 1949 with members of the Class of 1951. They were active though the spring of 1951. The Intensely Vigorous Jazz Band played a combination of standards and original compositions. The lyrics on I wish I could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate and Let Me Overhaul Your Car are a hoot.
In the spring of 1952, John Dengler '48 formed a new Dixieland Band named The Roundhouse Eight."
Then, on a Youtube Video on this very record, I was able to find this:
"10-inch single LP 33 1/3, PISTON ROD RECORDS, recorded at H. H. Hagens Studio, Princeton, NJ. 300 pressed, 275 sold.
1. BLUES MY NAUGHTY SWEETIE GIVES TO ME, (composers; Arthur Swanstrom, (1888-1940), Chas. R. McCarron, (1891-1919), Carey Morgan (1885-1960).
2. TIN ROOF BLUES, (composition by the New Orleans Rhythm Kings first recorded in 1923).
3. WOLVERINE BLUES, (composition by Jelly Roll Morton 1923).
4. ROYAL GARDEN BLUES, (composed by Clarence Williams and Spencer Williams in 1919).
5. BIG BEAR STOMP, (composer Lu Watters in 1944).
6. WHEN THE SAINTS LEAVE BY THE SIDE EXIT, (takeoff on When the Saints Go Marching In).

Anyway, this 10" 33 was found in a rice paper inner sleeve over a regular 10" plain sleeve. It looks to be in GREAT CONDITION, with no scratches or scuffs over clean vinyl, I'll grade it NM.
