Description

RARE 1959 MILES DAVIS RECORD.  Fontana 660.213 MR, Made in France.  This is an original music score for a film by Louis Malle.  Originally issued in 1958, this is a 1959 reissue with red title 'Prix Louis Delluc 1957. Grand prix du disque 1958. Académie Ch. Cros.' on front cover.  With red text on labels - On Label: Letter M in a circle on the left, not the letter P in a circle.  Discogs lists a Stereo and a Mono release for this 1959 reissue - I'm having difficulty determining which of these is mine.  The stamped matrix on Side 1 is rubbed, it is clear on Side 2 and is, 660213 2R 380.  There is no matrix listed for the Stereo version, and the Mono version has additional numbers as, 660213 2R 380 36.  The printing code is, F. Richir - Maitre-Imprimeur - Paris - Le Perreux - 89.
The floppy cardboard jacket has moderate to heavy edge wear, with the bottom edge mostly split, about 6" around the center.  The record was stored in a rice paper inner sleeve, which is split on one side and a bit ragged, but it has done its job.  The record LOOKS PLAYABLE with light scratches, no heavy scratches, I'll grade it VG+.
