I HAVE MANY SIMILAR AUCTIONS UP NOW, I DO COMBINE SHIP!!

all of these "Stones" lp's came from the same collection. a friend of mine who collected for 35 years and was obsessive about condition. his Stones lp's were the pride of his collection and he regularly upgraded to cleaner and cleaner copies. he kept them all in heavy plastic sleeves and inside 2 hard cases. he was constantly traveling around in the hunt for vinyl and memorabilia and always seemed to beat me to the flea market by 15 minutes. He had a real knack for finding good records. we had been friends for over a year before he showed me this collection and i must admit that i lusted for them from that day forward. after deciding that he had found everything that he could ever want, he slowly started to sell-off his entire record collection and these were among the last to go. i paid a lot for them and have held them now for a while, but even though i like the Rolling Stones, i know there are collectors who would appreciate them more than me. i know some are first pressings and some are not, but all seem to be early pressings. i have never been one to look up matrix numbers and sometimes i'm not really sure (especially on the London labels) which came first, so i have showed all labels and given catalog numbers in hopes that those of you who are interested will know the difference. i don't like to over-hype listings but having been around quite a bit and looked at hundreds of thousands of records i know that early stones records NEVER look this good. i know that these listings will likely draw the attention of some very picky (and potentially obsessive) collectors. i can say that i have recently bought from a couple top ranked sellers of collectible vinyl on ebay and my grading seems to be at least as conservative, and i will do my best when grading these (but of course there's always that one guy who will disagree). i welcome any info that any of you would like to share as i am always looking to increase my knowledge of records, also don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

i am listing many records that i have been collecting over the past months/years. i am always searching for interesting things and these are the "cream" of what i have found in my tireless searches. i am not an expert on pressings but i have tried to show in photos things that seem relevent and to list any defects that i feel are noteworthy. normal signs of use should be assumed based on the grade stated, (please refer to grading system at the bottom of this page). i am a collector and i pride myself on being honest and fair and will do my best to accomodate any reasonable requests. be sure to check my other listings.

 SHIPPING:

ATTN. OVERSEAS BIDDERS:  BECAUSE OF PAST PROBLEMS WITH LOST OVERSEAS PACKAGES I NOW REQUIRE INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY OR REGISTERED MAIL TO ITALY, FRANCE, RUSSIA AND PARTS OF SOUTH AMERICA, AND ALSO FOR PACKAGES VALUED OVER $40. NO EXCEPTIONS!

IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 3 FEEDBACKS PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING TO CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE PAY-PAL ACCT OR OTHER MEANS OF MAKING PAYMENT. OTHERWISE I MAY CANCEL YOUR BID(S).

above are estimated international shipping prices based on weight. prices do include packing materials and handling. i don't know the exact cost until i have mailed at the post office. if your package costs significantly less than what i collected from you in shipping charges i will refund the extra to your pay-pal account. if you feel that i missed this contact me and i will make nessesary adjustments. please understand that shipping international packages (especially priority) takes much more time at the post office with customs forms and long lines to wait in. also EBAY now collects 9% final value fees for all money collected (including shipping costs) and pay-pal charges between 2.9%-4.5%. when mailing international packages this adds up with heavy packages than can be expensive to mail (often more for shipping than the sale price of the auction) in order to continue international sales i must cover these expenses when charging for shipping. i try my best to be fair about this.

GENERAL COMMENTS ON SHIPPING:

. I GO TO THE POST OFFICE 2 TIMES A WEEK. IF YOU PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS YOUR PACKAGE IS NORMALLY MAILED WITHIN 2 DAYS. MEDIA MAIL TAKES 2-9 BUSINESS DAYS DEPENDING ON WHAT PART OF THE COUNTRY YOU LIVE.

I PACK RECORDS SECURELY IN LP MAILERS WITH VINYL AND INNER SLEEVES REMOVED TO PREVENT SEEM SPLITS TO COVERS. I PACK EXTRA CARDBOARD ON BOTH SIDES FOR EXTRA SUPPORT. I OFTEN USE LEFT-OVER LP COVERS FOR THIS PURPOSE (WHICH YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO RECYCLE AS YOU SEE FIT). I TAPE ALL SEAMS ON BOX TO HELP INSURE SAFE TRANSIT.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER YOUR PACKAGE ONCE IT HAS BEEN MAILED. I HAVE NO INSIDE SOURCE AT THE POST OFFICE AND NO MEANS OF SPEEDING UP DELIVERY OF YOUR PACKAGE. PLEASE TRY AND BE UNDERSTANDING OF THIS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE LEAVE THEM ON THE ORDER DETAILS PAGE. I SOMETIMES INSURE MORE VALUABLE PACKAGES BUT CAN ALSO PROVIDE INSURANCE FOR A FEE UPON REQUEST. I WILL PRINT YOUR ADDRESS EXACTLY HOW IT APPEARS ON THE ORDER DETAILS PAGE. I NORMALLY USE DELIVERY CONFIRMATION FOR DOMESTIC PACKAGES.

GRADING:

MINT: sealed in factory shrinkwrap, no wear at all to cover, looks brand new

NM(near mint): an opened record that has no marks, high gloss, no signs in dead wax of ever being played. covers are firm, clear and straight and have no sign of wear

NM-: barely a faint sleeve scuff or very superficial mark only noticeable under bright light. cover has minor imperfection barely noticeable

EX: glossy and may look near mint under normal light. under bright light shows some signs of light use. cover has very light shelf wear

EX-: in between VG+ and EX.

VG+: record shows signs of normal use. may have some surface scuffs/scratches, may have lost some luster but generally still looks to be in decent playing condition. mostly these will only have light background surface noise in places. covers will have some general shelf wear but still held together nicely.

VG(+): in between VG and VG+

VG: record shows several surface scuffs/scratches, (or sometimes looks glossy and clean with a deeper scratch). record is not trashed or covered in scratches. still worth listening to but may have more noticeable surface noise in places. cover will have a more noticeable defect like seam wear, corner bends, etc but still acceptable. i try to be conservative as this is a very subjective grade and seems to be the most abused. this grade may be used to reflect one very noticeable flaw or the accumulation of more than one lesser flaws.

VG-: between VG and G. maybe ok as a filler copy until you get a better one.

G: generally rough shape. shows many scratches. sometimes plays better than it looks but may skip or pop. your taking your chances with this one. covers will have heavy wear, not totally trashed but rough.

don't hesitate to ask any specific questions. i usually check messages every day. bid with confidence, thanks
