Description

This is one for the collectors as well as Neil Young Fans alike. It's on the Swingin' Pig label and recorded live at the Music Hall Cincinatti, February 10, 1970.One slab of vinyl is a sort of blue marble effect and the other is grey marbling.Vinyl and sleeve are all in good condition.
I remember the first Time I saw Neil Young playing live on the telly back around 1970/71. I'd already got 'After the Gold Rush' and loved his voice and style of playing but it was when I saw him playing live that I really got hooked. I loved his dry sense of humour and rapport with the audience. I can remember him rummaging around in the numerous pockets of his jacket looking for different harmonicas and laughing and joking with the crowd as he tried each one looking for the one in the right key for the song he was about to sing. This album is as close to what I heard back then.
It's somewhat amusing to hear him announce a 'new' song such as 'Sugar Mountain' with just a small applause from the crowd. Unlike these days when It would bring the house down. There's one part where he mentions staying at some motel about twenty miles or so away. Now he'd be in a top class luxury hotel driven there and back in a limo with full escort.
A bit of nostalgia for sure, but great tunes as well.
I will send it by royal mail or buyer can collect in person or arrange own delivery.
