FURTWANGLER BEETHOVEN EROICA MEGA RARE LP ON URANIA

Wilhelm Furtwangler conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performing Beethoven: Symphony No.3 in E flat major, Op. 55 “Eroica”. This is the rare Brazilian pressing of the mega rare URANIA URLP-7095 LP, which became a mega rarity because it was quickly withdrawn from the market due to a Furtwangler’s Legal Action shortly after its publication. This record was issued here in the 1950’s by the Brazilian Sinter label with the catalogue number SLP-6530. It has the same cover artwork as the original US pressing LP, with the exception that the front cover text and the back cover liner notes are written in Portuguese. The US catalogue number URLP 7095 appears mentioned on the back cover and is mechanically etched on the dead-wax area with the number ULP 7095. A one-of-a-kind item – Cover Condition: VG+ (Front Cover: some light age stain marks and edge wear / Back Cover: some age browning, water staining on top and repaired tears on bottom) / Record Condition: VG (some light surface marks/hairline marks, some light surface rubs on side A, plays well with some background surface noise/ticks/clicks, more noticeable at the beginning of each side, and doesn’t skip in any part while playing on my system).
