Any original 1974 white label test pressing of Bowie`s classic Diamond Dogs 

is in very high demand, firstly because they are incredibly rare . But also because 

it is one of the LPs regarded as a fans favorite .This is a 1974 White label test 

pressing, very strangely, it is pressed on two vinyl LP Discs. Disc 1 and Disc 2.

Why they would do this is beyond me but here it is. I have never seen another.

Side one of disc 1 plays the same music as is on side 1 of the UK and USA LP

of the same name. This also applies to side 2 . On the opposite side of side 1 

and side 2 of LP 2 its completely blank .There is not even any grooves. That 

is to say the b sides of both these LPs are smooth and completely blank like 

the back of an acetate. Double click the pictures maybe it will be picked up

in the photos.

The discs have quite a few unsightly hairlines but they play incredibly well.

There is light background noise here and there but this is a very loud LP.

It plays entirely without jumps skips or sticking and i would say it plays 

a good 8.5 out of 10 . A conservative grading would be Very Good ++.

Double click the pictures and read the dead wax markings all machine stamped.

It says Manufactured in Germany on both discs.

Disc 1 also reads APL1 -0576-A

Disc 2 also reads APL1- 0576-B

The labels are clean and dated 16.5.74 and 5.6.74 this is a very strange 

and collectable pressing of classic Bowie at his best. 

Sweet thing.....Unbelievable. Oh Christ it was haunting listening to Bowie

singing We are the dead. Bowie at his best.....

He is still with us.

This is a very rare LP indeed . Have you ever seen this before ???

When I was building this collection I had certain criteria that I followed that suited

why I myself found to conducive to high end collecting. Firstly the item had to be

rare. Secondly it had to be of a decent standard of condition. Thirdly it had to have

what I myself deemed VERY IMPORTANT. A HIGH LEVEL OF DESIRABILITY.

If on top of these 3 categories you find an item that has all 3 and then one more.....

That is extremely rare indeed but you have definitely hit your target, and hit it square on !

THIS ITEM HAS THAT FOURTH RARE CATEGORY . That being.

IT IS HIGHLY UNUSUAL.

If this were the Tonight LP with a different cover or Lets Dance with an extra track .

This is one of the BIG BOYS of Bowie collecting.....Other than the Genitals cover,

its difficult to find anything else rare about the Diamond Dogs LP.
