Description

Hi

My name is Rob and as my 100% Feedback shows. I am an avid Collector as opposed to a Seller.

My two passions are, anything related to The Beatles both in records and memorabilia and Gum cards, mainly from the 60's.

However over the years in my quest to build a top end collection I have accumulated many duplicates in both RECORDS & CARDS.

I have decided to list back on Ebay some of these items, so please add me to your favourites list to keep an eye out for what is coming.

To help give you a little more knowledge on my Background I have sold copies of  Please Please Me Black & Gold, Green Label demos of Lady Madonna, Hello Goodbye and All You Need Is Love, Red & White Label demos of Ticket To Ride and A Hard Days Night. Revolver 601, Rubber Soul , Sgt Peppers No Day In The Life Credit, Let It Be Box Set, various Factory Samples in both Album and Single format and Numerous Other Recordings of their Albums and Singles, both as The Beatles and as Single Artists. For the Card Collecting Fraternity I have sold Full Sets of Mars Attacks, American Civil War, The Saint, all of the James Bond sets and numerous Beatles Sets to name just a few.

That along with my Buying has all been managed with a 100% FEEDBACK RECORD!!!! So that will give you an indication to my integrity, honesty and reliability.

Now as stated I am a COLLECTOR and not a SELLER and am proud of my 100% feedback record and wish to maintain it. So as not to disappoint I will describe these items to the best of my ability and will offer a FULL REFUND  to anyone that is not satisfied with what I have stated. PROVIDING!! That all transactions are completed with satisfaction before FEEDBACK is left.

I am a friendly and approachable person so please email me with any queries you may have.

NOW TO LHE LISTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am Very Pleased to offer this SUPERB copy of THE BEATLES EXPORT Album “YELLOW SUBMARINE” On the  BLACK AND SILVER ODEON LABEL!!!!!!!! THIS IS A ** VERY FIRST PRESSING ** STEREO EXPORT LP-PPCS-7070!!!!!! HOW RARE IS THAT????????

This WILL EASILY be one of the RAREST records you are EVER likely to see on Ebay!!!! Let me explain why.

As is well documented Yellow Submarine was The Beatles 11th official Album release and was recorded over a very long period of time, in fact the tracks were laid down between 1966 and 1968 but was not released until February 1969. The reason for the delay was because of the success of the now Legendary "WHITE ALBUM"!!!! The YELLOW SUBMARINE ALBUM did not sell in the vast quantities as their other Albums and to find an Excellent copy of this on the standard DARK GREEN APPLE LABEL is a RARITY on it's own, but to find one on the BLACK & SILVER ODEON LABEL is their RAREST OF ALL!!!! Simply because only 200 were EVER ISSUED on this LABEL!!!! These were issued to Servicemen overseas because the APPLE LABELS could NOT be released in certain countries.

I CANNOT overstate the RARITY of this Album and I suggest you do some research into it before you bid. This is MUCH, MUCH RARER than ANY of their other EXPORT ALBUMS including the  Black & Yellow Parlophone Label White Album and Abbey Road or the Black & Silver Parlophone Hey Jude or Let It Be!!!! They were released in their 1000's these were only released on 200  ODEON LABELS with the MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN legend at the bottom of the label!!!!

This is a VERY 1ST PRESSING which is proved by the very early Mother Letter and Stamper Numbers in the run out grooves these are:

Side 1: At 3 O'clock the letters GO, at 6 0'clock YEX-715-1 and at 9 O'clock the number 24.

Side 2: at 3 O’clock the letter RR, at 6 O’clock YEX-716-1 and at 9 O'clock the number 2.

This Superb Record comes in it’s correct ODEON STICKERED SLEEVE!!!

Now for the GRADING!!!

I play graded this on a Linn Sondek Lingo with an Akito Arm and Ortofon MC 25FL Cartridge throgh a Linn Kairn and Klout, trust me the system would pick up ANY DEFECTS the record may have, and there were NONE that spoilt the listening ability of this BRILLIANT ALBUM!!!!

Side 1: the all important Label is in EXCELLENT CONDITION – Lovely and Bright, just look at the pictures to see how Rich and Vivid the SILVER Lettering still is, it has not faded anywhere. There are some very, very slight spindle marks that show when held in a correct light but nothing to worry about!!!!

The Record has obviously recieved only a few plays as it plays NEAR PERFECT, there are NO CLICKS,  POPS or JUMPS and no Background Noise at all .

Side 2: The Label is in the SAME CONDITION as Side 1 but it does have a very Slight Tear near the Spindle Hole, please see my pictures.

The Record again plays throughout NEAR PERFECT, there are NO CLICKS, POPS or JUMPS and very, very little Background Noise.

Both sides of the Disc still retain a Very Deep Sheen and though there are a several small marks showing NONE affect play.

I have played this record and it still retains it's wonderful STEREO sound and is VERY EASILY GRADED in at least EXCELLENT in VISUAL & AUDIO!!!!.

Having said that as ALL BEATLE collectors will be aware that the true Rarity Factor of this particular record is more in the BLACK & SILVER LABEL than the actual disc. A near mint one of these will set you back well over £7000. So here is your chance to own a very RESPECTABLE EXCELLENT copy of this MEGA MEGA RARE RECORD for less than that!!!!

The SLEEVE as stated is a 1st Issue Sleeve which is denoted by the RED LINES on the reverse and the NOTHING IS REAL in green writing on the front. It of course has the ALL IMPORTANT GOLD & RED ODEON STICKER on the bottom left on the reverse of the Album!!!! I would GRADE it as an overall VERY GOOD+. There are signs of age but nothing Too Serious, the backs of these are white so to find one not slightly off is very difficult.

So GRAB YOUR CHANCE to own a VERY RARE and VERY COLLECTABLE piece of BEATLES HISTORY!!!!

Ask yourself this, if only 200 copies of these were produced HOW MANY can STILL be in EXISTENCE TODAY???? This Record is over 40 Years Old and with each passing year will become even More Sought After!!!! As a rule once Collected they stay with the Collector for life, simply because of their Rarity Factor. This copy is only up for offer because I have decided to Upgrade it with a near MINT Copy, which cost an absolute fortune. This is a Very Rare Find Indeed!!!!

Not many of these Records have survived to this day and age, and I can promise it will be a long, long time before another one becomes available, and even more so in this Beautiful Condition !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will accept first time buyers as everyone has to start somewhere.

I of course offer my standard FULL REFUND should for some reason the buyer feels I have incorrectly described the Item. That is how CONFIDENT I am that the buyer will NOT be dissapointed with their purchase.

HAPPY BIDDING & GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
