TITLE: Breathe awhile

LABEL: MIDDLE EARTH MDLS 302

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: UNITED KINGDOM

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1969

MATRIX CODE SIDE B: MNW 75-PB (Stamped)

CONDITION: (vinyl/cover) VG+/NM ***GREAT COPY!*** (Please read detailed information below!)

One of the BEST records ever made in this musical field and of course indispensable in any serious record collection. Every moment on this one is a pure delight and... you all know what I’m raving about here, so start your bidding, boys’n’girls!

COVER; the cover is in great nick, with just a few very small creases in the laminate. There is a small defect at the spine at the word “breathe”. The opening is a bit wavy, which probably is caused by an old sealing sticker, which I assume, was removed several years after the record was released. This cover grades as NEAR MINT.

VINYL; when held under strong light, some light hairlines and paperscuffs appear from some angles. Visually close to NEAR MINT, but we’ll settle for VERY GOOD PLUS. There are some light crackle in the silent parts, a few pops and a distant hissing sound can be heard as well. As you all may know, leaves the pressing a lot to wish for. But this one plays really nice and is most of the time very close to an aural NEAR MINT-grading. But we’ll settle for a VERY GOOD PLUS for everybody’s convenience.

LABELS; the label on side A has a little rubbing near the centre-hole and a few light spindlemarks. The label on side B shows minimal signs of use with just a few spindlemarks.

I use GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS – MINT/NEAR MINT/VERY GOOD PLUS/VERY GOOD/GOOD/POOR. The grading MINT (M) is hardly ever used - and at that umcommon occasion - NOT used improperly. NEAR MINT (NM) means NEAR MINT both visually and audible! VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) is the same as EXCELLENT (EX) in other grading systems. My ambition is to provide an as accurate description as possible and I do not try hide any defects or other flaws on the record and cover. MY GRADING IS STRICT and winning bidder ALWAYS has full refund minus shipping costs! PLEASE E-MAIL IF ANY CONCERNS! THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING!

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS

MINT ---- It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

NEAR MINT ---- Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.

VERY GOOD PLUS ---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original lustre may be lost. A slight scratch that did not affect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.

VERY GOOD ---- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl lustre, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.

GOOD ---- Well played with little lustre and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.

POOR ---- Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above "Good" grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws
