Beatles Album Collection

            In honor of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Beatles appearing on the Ed Sullivan show on February 9, 1964, up for auction is my collection of ‘ORIGINAL’ Beatles record albums. All are in Very Good, to MINT condition. There are 76 Vinyl LP’s in this collection. I remember watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan at age 4, and I have collected their record albums ever since. My Aunt  died in 1988, and in cleaning out her house afterwards, I found three copies of ‘Introducing the Beatles’ on the VEE-JAY label in her closet. She had bought all three for my cousins in December, 1963 as Christmas presents, but apparently she forgot where they were! I kept this album for many years, until my house burned down in 1995. The cover was destroyed, and if you look close at the album itself, you will see that the grooves of the first two songs were melted. All other 33 1/3 LP Vinyl LP’s are in VG+ to Mint condition. I am currently doing the ‘ugly divorce thing’, and I need to liquidate my assets.  If you have a proposal, please message me. This is what I have collected for 40+ years. I have done all of the work, all you have to do is put them on the turntable.  I am not screwing around, these are as nice as you will find, for under $2000.00.

1.      ‘MEET THE BEATLES !’ #ST2047  Black Capital Label. Several very light scratches, but NO skips when played. Sleeve is a plain white paper type & not original. Light mildew damage lower left hand corner of cover. Clear tape on spine. Overall, rated VG+

2.      ‘THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM’  # T2080  Original MONO release. Black Capital Label. Light scuff on side two, but NO skips when played. Otherwise almost MINT. Capital record sleeve, cellophane tape on spine of cover & top of cover.  Overall rated NM.

3.      ‘BEATLES’65’ # T2228 Original MONO release. Black Capital Label. No deep scratches, no pops or hisses. Original Capital record sleeve.

4.      ‘THE BEATLES YESTERDAY AND TODAY’ #T2553 Original MONO release. Black Capital Label.  Two light scuffs, no skips when played.  Plain white paper sleeve, overall condition VG+++

5.      ‘BEATLES VI’ #T2358 Original MONO release. Black Capital Label.  Very light scuffs, no major scratches, no skips when played. Original Capital record sleeve. Overall condition VG+++

11.  ‘YELLOW SUBMARINE’ #SW-153. Apple Label Stereo, Manufactured by Capital Records. Plain paper sleeve, vinyl MINT!

12.  ‘SGT.PEPPERS’ #SMAS2653 Black Capital Label stereo, Cut-Outs included, plain white paper replacement sleeve. Other than black “X” on side 1 label, vinyl is MINT!

15.  ‘WHITE ALBUM’ A.K.A. “The Beatles”, # SWBO101. Album cover number 0850738. Original Apple, “Manufactured by Capital” . Includes poster and all four pictures. Vinyl is MINT. Sleeves are plain white.

16.  ‘ABBEY ROAD’ #SO383. Apple Label Stereo. Plain white sleeve, vinyl is MINT!

17.  ‘LET IT BE’ #AR34001, Red Apple Label. Original fold-out cover. VINYL IS MINT, cover is NEAR MINT. Plain white sleeve for album.

18.  ‘THE BEATLES/1962-1966’ #SKBO3403, Apple Label 1973, original red sleeves with lyrics, Vinyl has one scuff on side one, otherwise it is MINT. Overall condition is therefore NM.

19.  ‘THE BEATLES/1967-1970’ #SKBO3404. Original 1973 Apple Label. Original Blue sleeves with lyrics. Vinyl is MINT!                                                                                                           

20.  ‘THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL’ #SMAS11638. Original sleeve and “Ticket-Stub” label . VINYL IS MINT ! Cover has display hole in upper-right corner, otherwise it is mint also.

21.  ‘BEATLES ANTHOLOGY 1’ UNOPENED EMI MUSIC CANADA album set. All three LP’s are still sealed and in mint condition. # 7243 8 34445 1 2 . Copyright 1995, this set has never been opened. See below……..

22.   Press release kit for ‘Beatles Anthology’ I worked for a sponsor of the ‘Anthology’ on television. Ford Motor Company released a packet to each sponsoring Dealership before the show aired. This is the packet. It includes two pics, a poster, a ‘Magazine” and a folder that holds it all.  There were only 5500 dealerships at the time, and though I can’t guarantee it, there were probably not more than 10,000 of these packets made.

23.  ‘THE BEATLES LOVE SONGS’ #SKBL11711, Capital Picture Label, original 1977 release with entire lyric book. One original sleeve, one replacement. Cover is rough, vinyl is Near Mint ! Also included is the ‘envelope’ sleeve.

1.’ALL THINGS MUST PASS’ #STCH639. Original Apple Boxed set, with two red Apple labels, and a third that is an ‘APPLE JAM’ label. Also included is the original poster, and all three original sleeves , two of which have lyrics, and the ‘Apple Jam’ sleeve that has a picture of a jar of ‘Apple Jam’. The poster is also included, and is MINT. All three vinyl discs are MINT, as is the original box. Overall condition is NEAR MINT!                                                                                                                                                                                                        2.’THE CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH’ # stcx-4-3385. Original Apple Boxed Set with’ picture labels, all three discs are MINT ! The original booklet is included, and is also MINT ! All three original brown paper sleeves are included, and the box had only one small tear that has been taped. The corners are sharp and not frayed in the least. . The box is VG+++ Overall condition is NEAR MINT!                                                                                    3. ‘Thirty.Three &1/3’ #DH3005. Original Dark Horse label. 1976 album is MINT, sleeve is original plain white, and cover is also MINT. Album is perfect!                                                                     4. ‘DARK HORSE’ # SMAS3418. Original Apple picture label. Vinyl is MINT, as is the original full-color sleeve, and the cover. Overall condition is MINT.                                       5. ‘EXTRA TEXTURE’ # SW3420. Original Apple LP from 1975, original picture label. Vinyl is MINT, full cover sleeve is also MINT, and the cover is VG+++.

John Lennon

1.      ‘THE PLASTIC ONO BAND-LIVE PEACE IN TORONTO 1969’. #CORE2001. Original Apple label, manufactured in the U.K. . Sleeve is an anti-stat replacement, cover is original and MINT. Vinyl is MINT !

2.      ‘TWO VIRGINS’ #T5001. Vinyl is MINT, sleeve and ‘Plain-Brown-Wrapper’ is also mint. Cover is also MINT, although rated XXX. Original Apple Label, manufactured by Tetragrammatron Records.

3.      ‘SHAVED FISH’ # SW3421. Original APPLE Label. Includes original full color sleeve with lyrics on one side, and the Japanese symbol on the other. Vinyl is MINT, and the cover is VG+++.

4.      ‘MIND GAMES’ # SW3414. Original Apple Label, copyright 1973. Sleeve is white, with the lyrics.  Vinyl is MINT, cover is VG+.  

5.      ‘IMAGINE’ #SW3379. Original Apple label with John Lennon, the Plastic Ono Band & the Flux Fiddlers. Vinyl is NEAR MINT, with only one small scratch on side two, through ‘HOW’ & ‘OH YOKO’. The scratch does not cause the needle to skip. The sleeve is an original, with lyrics, and the cover is VG+.

6.      ‘WALLS AND BRIDGES’ #SW3416. Original Apple Label, with the eight page picture book, including lyrics. Vinyl is MINT, as is the original picture sleeve, and cover. Overall condition is NEAR MINT !

7.      ‘ROCK’N’ROLL’ # SK3419. Original Apple label. Plain white sleeve, one small scratch on side 1. It does NOT cause a skip through “Ready Teddy/Rip It Up”, but the scratch is there. Otherwise, the LP Vinyl is NEAR MINT, except for the scratch already mentioned. Overall condition is VG++.

8.      ‘DOUBLE FANTASY’ #GHS2001 Original Geffen Records  Light Tan Label, including the cellophane on the cover. Also has the original record company clear sticker that says “Contains the Hit Song: (Just Like) Starting Over.  Sleeve includes lyrics, and the vinyl is MINT. The cover is MINT, as is the sleeve. The vinyl has NEVER HAD A NEEDLE TOUCH IT. I opened this album, and never played it ! It is VIRGIN VINYL !

9.      ‘THE JOHN LENNON COLLECTION’ # GHSP2023. Original Geffen Records White label. Includes picture sleeve, with lyrics. Vinyl is MINT, cover is rough.

RINGO STARR

1.      ‘GOODNIGHT VIENNA’ #SW3417. Original Apple Picture label. Original picture sleeve with lyrics is included. Vinyl is MINT, cover and sleeve are VG++.

2.      ‘RINGO’ # SWAL3413. Original Apple picture label. Includes book with lyrics, inside of the cover. Vinyl is MINT, cover is plain white, & original. Cover is VG.

This is as complete of a Beatle Album Collection that you will ever find. None of the albums are junk, all are perfectly playable, and beautiful.  I will honor all requests for  detailed pictures, and/or descriptions. This is as nice a set of Beatles’ albums that you will ever find!  You will never find a better collection for under $2000. If you want the collection to be shipped, the UPS Service will be used. I will insure the items for the purchase price, and I will charge whatever UPS charges, plus an extra $20 for the packaging. The weight is considerable, so it will take several boxes to ship the collection. Depending on where you live, shipping will start at $70 USD, international charges will be considerably more.  You will get the receipt for the shipping, so there will be no “monkey business”. There are also several other albums available, meaning there are several LP’s of different labels. If the original was the Black Capital Label, there are several ‘Apple Label’ LP’s also available, but they will be extra.
