Description

Very Rare (possibly unique) Led Zeppelin Acetate 3 Tracks Stairway To Heaven VG+
This is a very interesting and rare - possibly unique - Led Zeppelin pressing. This is a metal acetate disc and dates from around 1971. There are three Led Zeppelin tracks on the A side and tracks from 2001 Space Odyssey on the B side. The Led Zeppelin tracks are Stairway to Heaven, White Summer and Going to California. The first and last recorded for the John Peel session at the Palace Theatre in 1971 and the middle track from the 1969 performance at `The Playhouse Theatre. These are very well recorded tracks, not of the taped from the audience type but of studio/live quality. This disc was sold originally as the Producer's copy however I can not verify this. These tracks do appear on the Led Zeppelin Complete Sessions from 2016 however these edits are longer and have different mixes, more of Robert Plant's speaking between songs and one song is at a different pitch. Overall condition is VG, the vinyl is very clean. The vinyl surface has some marks as a result of the type of coating used, these can be seen in photos. Any scratches are very light and minimal and this does not look heavily played. The sound is very good however there is a notable underlying crackle which is typical of these acetate discs as they get older but the sound is very good in play.Overall if you are a Zep collector you will love this, you will hear bits of Led Zeppelin in these edits you possibly won't hear anywhere else, certainly not on any released version.

Please see the following grading guidelines which I use to grade all media:  Items will be described in the following order: Media/Cover (i.e. VG/G+)
MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
CD's are similarly graded though the Jewel case is disregarded in grading. The grading applies to the media and the insert. Cassettes will simply be described in their playing condition and are all tested.

All records are sent out in twin wall 'Music Max' mailers with double stiffeners and will arrive safe and sound! I have some super-rare Beatles stuff coming up and all kinds of other great, rare and interesting records for sale.
Thanks all
