This week at Digging 4 Gold we’ve got a superb selection of Afro-Beat/Highlife/Northern/Soul/Funk/Disco/Garage 45s up for auction, including many San Francisco Bay Area gems! Also thrown in for good measure, is a handful of rare LPs. Most records include sound clips and with no reserves. All sound clips are recorded directly from the record up for auction.

Condition: VG++ on both sides

Description: Again, both sides are VG++ with a conservative grading. Ultra rare privately pressed promo 45 for the Bay Area band Fame. This 45 has only been sold on Ebay a few times before. As recorded in one of those auctions….

"Recent discovery. If you like "Sage - I'm Alive", you will love this one as well. This record was recorded at the Tewksbury Studios in Richmond, CA in the late 70's by an all black group but the drummer. The record almost didn't get recorded as some band members got wet feet before entering into a contract. It ended up being pressed up in smallest quantities, which mean’t that it was doomed to obscurity forever. This record was completely unknown to all collectors and Bay Area music historians.

We grade conservatively and in strict accordance to Gold Mine standards.  In the case of most African records, some sellers tend to grade more leniently. However, we do not.  Instead, we've decided to let the sound clips, when provided, speak for themselves. Good luck!
