Description

The City Blues: "Blues For Lawrence Street" 1967, USA/Nouveau Records 5001. Disc is M-, no spindle marks on the labels, it looks unplayed! There's a bit of up-and-down movement to the record from storage, tracks/plays flawlessly on my humble system. Cover is in shrink, perfect M- shape! Ultra-rare private garage blues LP from the Los Angeles area reminds me of early Quicksilver Messenger Service, specifically the 1966 pre-Cipollina lineup as heard on those Groucho releases. "Smokestack Lightning", "Goin' To New York", "You Gotta Help Me", etc. Trebly guitars, wailing harmonica, etc. Band is pretty crude but the pressing is great and the cover pics are amazing! This is one of the rarest 1960s California private LPs, only a handful in nice condition have ever turned up. This easily has the grail level of Stack, Beat Of The Earth, Damon, etc.

Everything I offer is guaranteed. I try to note any flaws with the disc and the cover so that there are no surprises when the box arrives. Be sure to view my other iamthewitch auctions as I have more stuff like this up for grabs this week.

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
