Description
The Beatles Revolver Mono 1981 UK release on yellow and black Parlophone label in excellent condition. This is a 4th pressing with “…all rights of producer……. manufacturer’s in UK….” around rim. This particular MONO pressing did not sell well and is, consequently, very rare. I have had it since issued Summer 1981. The vinyl is in excellent condition. There are a few surface marks only - no deep scratches just a few hairlines. Hardly been played since purchased. Still has nice glossy sheen - just like the day it was purchased. Plays as good as it looks - no distortion and very quiet between tracks - sound is clear and crisp and will not disappoint. I have just played it completely and it plays near mint no skips or jumps or unwanted crackle nor pops. The labels are clean - no writing and no spindle wear - the lines on the photos are factory produced where the gluing has not been finished well. The matrix number side 1 = XEX 605- 2 (with 5 5 stampers); side 2 = XEX 606 - 3 (5 3 stampers). The vinyl is housed in dated “EMI …care of your records…” printed paper sleeve (1181 - printed at the bottom centre of sleeve - see photos). The unlaminated (non flapjack) G&L printed sleeve is in excellent condition - no seam splits - just a few minor scuffs and nibbles - there is a very small tear (less than 1 cm) in middle of opening to sleeve - where record has been removed/inserted - but nothing serious. Sleeve front has age -related discolouring. The spine is intact and fully readable. Overall a great example of a real classic album.
