Original 1st US pressing of the The Beatles 1st US album “Introducing the Beatles” released on January 10, 1964. This copy is the 1st Version of this album with the withdrawn tracks “P.S. I Love You” and “Love Me Do”. The cover contains 25 adverts of Vee-Jay’s “Other Fine Albums of Significant Interest” on the back and has been called the “Ad Back” cover. 1st print cover with a “Printed in U.S.A.” vertical text at the bottom left corner on the front is in pristine Near Mint condition remaining in the original factory shrink wrap. Original 1st print Vee-Jay rainbow perimeter strip oval logo labels with the withdrawn “P.S. I Love You” and “Love Me Do” tracks. The 2.75” deep groove pressing ring labels with the VJLP 1062 catalog number. Very early 1st pressing by American Record Pressing Co. plant located in Owosso, Michigan, the very same pressing plant that became famous for mis-spelling the band name adding the extra “t” (The Beattles) on the labels of the Vee-Jay’s 498 “Please Please Me / Ask Me Why” 7” single record. Despite the fact that the album’s official release date occurred on January 10, 1964, the runout groove of both sides contains the “6-29-63” date stamp confirming that this copy was pressed 7 months before the release date. For this particular reason, the listing indicates 1963 instead of 1964 as the release date. Original 1st pressing with the 1st A1 / A1 matrix numbers and “AudioMatrix” machine stamp in the trail-off vinyl. The full matrix numbers featuring are as follows: Side 1 - 63-3402 AudioMatrix A ARP 3402 6-29-63; Side 2 - 63-3403 IPA A ARP AudioMatrix 6-29-63. The album comes with the original white background Vee-Jay Records “Other Fine Albums of Significant Interest” containing 25 adverts on each side and VJ brackets logo.

The cover is in gorgeous Near Mint condition retaining its original vivid colors, with only just some very light shelf wear to the original factory shrink wrap. I grade the vinyl as Excellent Minus for Side 1 and strong Very Good Plus for Side 2. The vinyl retains its beautiful factory gloss only having a few very light non-feelable surface hairlines as well as scuffs from the original inner sleeve which is in Near Mint condition and doesn't have any splits or tears. The shiny labels are very clean, without any spindle marks, wear or scuffs at all, and are in Near Mint condition. The vinyl sounds amazing only having some very light occasional static that's heard only at a loud volume during the quiet passages and which most likely would go away if the record was professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
