Incredibly rare copy of The Beatles “Introducing The Beatles” album with an “Ad Back” cover representing the rarest of all American Beatles records. The cover remaining in its original factory shrink wrap contains on the back a paste over slick with 25 “Other Fine Albums Of Significant Interest on Vee-Jay Records”. The front cover has a rare vertical "Printed in U.S.A." text in the lower left-hand corner, making it one of only 6000 very first run cover slicks. The interior of the cover contains the ¼” flaps at the top and bottom. Pressed at the Monarch plant this copy contains a very rare 45 RPM size Vee-Jay oval logo label variation. This withdrawn Version 1 copy includes the tracks "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You." Very early true 1st pressing vinyl manufactured at the Monarch pressing plant. I’ve never seen before a Monarch pressing containing the -A1 / -A1 matrix numbers. The “1” suffix coming after the “A” indicates that this copy is the very early 1st pressing. According to the date stamp in the trail-off vinyl which reads “6-23-63”, this copy was pressed 7 months before the album’s official release date of January, 1964. The mastering of the vinyl was done by the New York based company Audio Matrix, Inc. and its machine stamp “AudioMatrix” is easily read in the runout groove. The vinyl contains all of the identifiers of the Monarch pressing plant including an “MR in a Circle” along with a “delta”(∆) number. The full matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1 - 63-3402  AudioMatrix 6-24-63 ∆5702 A1 MR in a Circle; Side 2 - 63-3403 AudioMatrix 6-24-63 ∆5702-x A1 MR in a Circle.

I grade the stunning cover as Excellent and it would be Near Mint Minus if it wasn’t due to the bumping to the lower-left corner of the front cover. Aside from it the cover is in fantastic condition remaining in the original factory shrink wrap which has preserved all of the cover’s saturated colors, especially on the back. Original Vee-Jay inner sleeve is in Near Mint Minus condition and doesn’t have any splits. I grade the vinyl as somewhere between Good Plus and Very Good. It contains hairlines and marks along with some scuffs from the inner sleeve. The 45 size labels are in Very Good Plus condition, scuff- and wear-free, only having light spindle marks. The vinyl plays well throughout without any skips having some static and occasional background noise, which becomes more evident during the quiet passages. It would be a good idea to professionally clean the record using a VPI machine because I have no doubts that it will get reflected in the sound.
