THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
Such was the high-level of quality control within EMI in the 1960's, mispressings rarely escaped the factory gates.
This rare label variation of their 1969 album bears a blank side 1 label, making not only rare but a real work of art.
The side 2 label is standard 1st issue and omits the 'Her Majesty' song title.
Matrices: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1
Stamper codes: 6/OGM & 7/MDL
Vinyl weight: 141g
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover, with the Apple logo aligned beneath the rear track-listing.
Complete with original 'Patents No....' plain white inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & free from any writing or missing paper. Despite some wear and spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole, this is a very attractive piece.
Both sides of the disc are clean but bear numerous light marks and several hairline scratches, one or two of which are feelable. Our stylus stuck in a few grooves on 'Something' and 'I Want You..', but side 2 played without any major issues.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean, fully intact example bearing light storagewear only to its high-gloss panels. Both seams and the fully worded spine are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.
This item will be shipped inside a custom box-type mailer to make sure it reaches you in the same condition it leaves us.
