Description

Here is your opportunity to own the Legendary Pet Sounds album from The Beach Boys.  Many critics and fans agree that Pet Sounds is one of the most incredible albums ever made.  Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Pet Sounds number 2 out of the top 500 albums of all time.  This album was created during a real period of transition for The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson.  This particular LP has DT-1-2458-A-15  1  6  2 as the matrix number etched in the dead wax, on side one.  Side two of the LP has DT-2-2458-A-15  3 etched in the dead wax.  Both sides of the deadwax also contain an asterisk etch.  The asterisk etch signifies that the album was pressed on the West Coast in L.A.  The vinyl is in Excellent/Very Good Plus condition.  The LP has some hairline scratches and paper scuffs on each side.  Side two has few more blemishes than side one.  The blemishes are not overly visible, unless your looking for them.  The blemishes have a minimal affect on the playback.  I noticed some occasional background noise between tracks and at the end/beginning of each side of the LP.  The playback is much closer to Excellent.  The LP labels are quite nice with only a few faint spindle marks on each side.  Both of the LP labels also contain the original owners name at the top, in the rainbow.  This album also includes the original Capitol Records Company inner sleeve.  The inner sleeve is in outstanding condition.  The LP cover is in Very Good Plus condition.  The cover has some extremely faint ring wear on each side.  The front of the cover has some minor sticker removal damage on the top left corner.  The seams and spine all have some wear.  The top seam has very little wear.  The bottom seam has very little wear as well, but it does have some paper deterioration for the last inch towards the jacket opening.  The spine contains most of the damage.  Approximately three quarters of the spine has some paper damage/deterioration.  Portions of the spine were split at one time, but they have been professionally re-adhered.  The band and album title are completely legible, but company name and catalog number are missing.  All four corners have some minor rounding.  The bottom left corner has a very small crease.  The back of the cover has number 6 on the bottom right corner, next to RIAA Symbol.  This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve.  The album jacket will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve.  The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts.  The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped.  This album is ready for playing or storage.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I do not ship outside of the United States.  I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Please bid with confidence.
