Description
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO 1967 VERVE STEREO 1ST UNCENSORED ANDY WARHOL'S COVER
A very rare Stereo copy of The Velvet Underground & Nico self-titled album. 1st State print Uncensored "Torso" Stereo cover with an image of Eric Emerson projected upside-down on the wall behind the band on the back of the sleeve. The cover has an unpeeled Andy Warhol's yellow banana sticker on the front. The cover remains in its original "Record Deck" distributor baggy with the "Sealed For Your Protection" banner and "Our Price" seal. The cover is in Excellent condition and only has some occasional edge and corner wear. The front and back of the sleeve don't have any ring wear. The interior gatefold is in Near Mint condition. The issue includes an original Verve Record inner sleeve. The Side 1 label is in Near Mint condition without having any marks with the Side 2 label being Very Good Plus due to a couple of long hairlines, which only cause a barely hearable light background noise in the beginning of Track 1. Matrix numbers: Side 1 - V6-5008 SIDE-1 MGS-558 REV A 1 5 Block-looking "S" symbol ; Side 2 - V6-5008 SIDE-2 MGS-559-REV 1 1 Block-looking "S" symbol. Very rare copy with the block-looking "S" symbol in the dead wax on both sides. Warm, soft, true analog sound.
