Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
On offer, an extremely rare first U.K. STEREO EXPORT pressing of The Rolling Stones – Have You Seen Your Mother Live! on the BLUE UNBOXED Decca label, cat. no. SKL 4838. I believe it’s a first pressing from 1966 because it concerns an UNBOXED and GROOVED Decca pressing.
The record is in VG condition, there are many non-sounding hairlines and a visible, but non-sounding mark on track 4 of side 1. I have test played this record and it plays fantastic. It is a common fact that these old Decca pressings can take a lot of damage and still play very well. The labels are in VG condition as well, there are some spindle marks with very slight wear along the spindle holes on both sides. The matrix endings on this record are 1W / 1W.
The cover is in VG++ condition, there are some thumbnails and a very tiny tear on the opening edge of the front. On the back there is some slight ring wear, a tiny sticker and the previous owner’s initials, date and place of purchase are written on the bottom.
The record comes with an original “Important, The Equipment and The Record” inner sleeve, which is in VG++ condition. Besides a little age browning and some handling wear on the opening edge, this inner sleeve looks great.
This is an extremely rare, if not impossibly rare FIRST U.K. STEREO EXPORT pressing of the Rolling Stones’ Have You Seen Your Mother Live! album. First pressed Stereo copies of the older Beatles and Rolling Stones albums are hard to find, and although not in a dream mint condition, this is a very rare opportunity to own one, especially this one. Just how often do you see an UNBOXED copy of this album? This is a real opportunity for all Rolling Stones fans to complete a life time collection! Happy Bidding!
