First Time Offered TRUE STEREO PRESSING MORE LESS COMMON THAN THE STANDARD 'mono' pressing; Huge difference during playback- each track killer Southern California Surf Music circa 1962; and nothing like hearing “WIPEOUT” - the iconic surf signature songs of all time on a first pressing STEREO CHANNELING... this instrumental never gets old and will never die! Released in ‘62 it became a regional hit in SoCal ... only in 1963 did it peak at #4 on the pop charts.; so yeah , the SANTA ANA HIGH SCHOOL where the Chantays attended is about 15-minutes away on the Santa Ana 5 freeway, the beaches they wrote music to not that much further... “ WIPEOUT is arguably the best most recognizable surf instrumental ever written and this is the original album that made that mark! ** attended an event at the American Legion Hall on Balboa Island (Newport Beach California) last evening and was told that one of the CHANTAY surviving band members — not sure which one plays there on occasion! The surf music lives on!!!
