Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched pressing of Sonny Rollins “Saxophone Colossus” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7079.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a beautiful luster; perhaps played once.  The laminated West 50th St. cover is bright and clean throughout; 3/4” split/bump on the top seam, at the opening; the bottom seam has 3/8” wear at the spine and 1” wear/bump at the opening; slight lamination lifting (no flaking) at the top of the opening, on the front.  Original glassine inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins, and Max Roach.  $500.00.
