Description

This is the original RVG-etched deep-groove pressing of Sonny Rollins Saxophone Colossus on the yellow and black West 50th Street labels of Prestige PRLP 7079. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with just a single light, inaudible handling mark at the beginning of Side 1; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover has the West 50th Street address: superficial lamination peeling and flaking along the right edge of the front; two tiny flakes on top seam; ¾" wear on bottom seam, at the opening; otherwise, the cover is in excellent, clean condition throughout. Personnel includes Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins, and Max Roach.
