Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen Original 1977 A&M 7" W

Due to unforeseen cicumstances I'm heartbroken to have to sell off some of my collection, which includes literally some of the rarest records in the World. Please keep an eye on my listings as I'll be working my way through these over the next few weeks. All with NO RESERVE

This one I'm absolutely devasted to have to sell, but unfortunately needs must. The ultimate Sex Pistols collectable and wonderful investment opportunity.

This is an original 1977 A&M pressing of 'God Save The Queen', not one of the clever (or not so clever) represses but a 100% Genuine one!

A&M AMS 7284 'God Save The Queen' / 'No Feeling' with ridged label etc.

It's really something as it comes complete with a A&M box (stamped AMS 7284) that held 25 of these treasures in the A&M vaults from 1977 until 1998. They were destined to be promo copies as somebody has written 'promos' adjacent to the red catalogue stamper mark.

History:
It's well documented that a box of these were handed out to A&M executives when the company closed down in 1998 - well here literally is that box! I was approached by one of the executives a few days after the company's closure, he had 3 copies to sell and wondered if I would be interested in purchasing them. We duly arranged a meeting and to my utter amazement he brought them along them in this box. He didn't seem to realise the significance of the box, and after we'd done the deal he casually asked if I'd like to have it to keep them in! I sold 2 copies years ago (in 1999 and 2005) and intended to keep this one for myself. It's been carefully stored ever since.

Condition:
I've only played the record once, it's Mint. The box is fine, never been squashed, damaged, damp etc, the 'promo' writing has faded but still visible. The red catalogue stamper mark is clear and bright - see the pictures of this wonderful item

Item may be inspected before auction ends in Essex by prior arrangement.

Shipping:
U.K. - £4, overseas £20 - £100 depending on where it's going and the level of insurance required. Collection in person from Essex if prefered (no Paypal if you wish to do this).
Please Note ** Sorry But I Will NOT Ship To Italy**

Payment:
Paypal, Bank Transfer, Cheque drawn in U.K. Sterling

Good luck and I'd be happy to answer any of your questions

For the avoidance of doubt, this item is FAR RARER than those that were mailed out to the A&M executives in the brown envelopes  - there are known to be up to 12 of those. This box  is utterly unique, and is the ONLY ONE to have EVER turned up!

On 23-Sep-11 at 09:32:07 BST, seller added the following information:

Just been through my accounts for 1998 and, not that it will make much difference, but I purchased this item on 22nd July 1998....I guess that the devil is in the detail!

Also, with respect please only bid if you seriously intend to purchase. I've already had to cancel some bids placed overnight yet in the cold light of day the bidder simply hadn't the funds to complete at their bid level. Thank you.
