Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light
Cover is a nice VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful. I had to hold this original copy in my hands to really appreciate the artwork. A touch of wear on the corners. The seams are nice and the printing on the spine is sharp. The back cover slick is pretty bright for its age with a small sticker and a name in ink on the upper left corner. The slick also has a few small spots of mystery surface crud and some scratching on the upper right. No splits. All in all a nice example of this cover that will break the needle on any mojo-meter.
LP is a glossy VG+ with some light marks and hairlines or nothing feelable or serious. Labels are nice with some spindle marks visible under angled light. Has an original but somewhat tattered rice paper sleeve.
Overall not a perfect or NM but a nice copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make all but the most demanding collector very happy.
Please excuse the pictures of the full LP - some reflection and camera glare are showing.

Grading
Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
