Produced by Erik Smith, engineered by James Brown and recorded between 6-7 April 1961 at The Sofiensaal, Vienna with the Vienna Octet: Anton Fietz & Philipp Matheis (violins), Günther Breitenbach (viola), Nikolaus Hübner (cello), Johann Krump (double-bass) Josef Veleba & Otto Nitsch (horns).
This was released in February 1962
This record belonged to a real audiophile and he kept ALL his records in a NAGAOKA anti-static sleeve which is included here. This is a genuine first pressing with its "ORIGINAL RECOEDING" text. .. The sleeves are very flimsy and so often get torn or badly creased. This one has not.

All records are GUARANTEED to be free of repetitive tics or clicks unless otherwise mentioned.

Gradings range from NM - no background crackle,
EX+ minimal crackle,
EX slightly more,
Records graded EX and better will have no repetitive tics/clicks on them,
VG+ may have crackle and soft tics/clicks and therefore will have surface marks.
