Description
Here is a very nice copy of the super rare Sainte Anthony's Fyre LP from 1970 that emerged from a New Jersey basement.
This is an original pressing on the Zonk label from Trenton, NJ., issue no. 001. Markings in the dead wax on the A-side are "NISE A-59 ST. ANT I/W" and "NISE B-60 F/W on the B-side.
Visually, the record playing surface grades as EX+, but there is some wrinkling of the label on the B-side (see the last picture). The A-side is fine. I believe this is a factory defect.
Aurally, it plays very well, and has obviously seen very little use. There are a few random pops, and some crackle in the dead spaces between cuts. There is a very slight storage warp that has no effect on the play (not unusual on very thin records-this one weighs in at a very light 105 grams). Overall, it's a strong VG+.
The cover is VG+ and has a couple of spots on the front, and some rubbing wear, mainly at the bottom and toward the right edge, and it has taken a minor hit on the lower left corner. There are no split seams, no writing, no stickers. The cover has a slight musty odor inside.
This will be shipped in a Bags Unlimited double-wall mailer to ensure safe delivery. It will not be shipped via Media Mail, which makes it subject to inspection and tampering by the USPS.
