Description
A Fleeting Glance has made it into a couple of the rarest of record collections in Europe and the USA.
The last known sale was in June 2013 for £1530 on eBay. You can find the sale when you google the LP.
I believe this is now the copy listed on rarerecordsvinyl.com for £2700
Collectorfrenzy had a copy listed (I guess the second copy) for $6200 along with the following advert
A Fleeting Glance - Same PRIVATE PRESSING AS 2324 LP 1970 SUPER RARE ? A Collectors Dream & Only A Handful Exist - Rare Chance
Record Collector have listed the record at £2700 stating "Only two copies of this 1970 UK private pressing are known to exist. The album harnesses heavy rock, kosmische, folk and jazz to regale the tempestuous tale of a shadowy woman from birth to death. There's even a rumoured cameo performance from Billy Fury." For those that know, this is a rare, rare chance to own this classic LP.
This copy was stored vertically and so in great condition. There are a couple of tiny scratches barely visible to the naked eye. They do not affect the listening experience. It has been played end to end to check it was ok (SME arm Shure cartridge) and as far as we are aware this is probably the first or second time it has been played. The owner who this is being sold for doesn't remember ever playing it. They were a member of the Aquila Social Club, the label that recorded/pressed/released the LP and why they have this copy. The sleeve glue has come unstuck but no attempt has been made to repair it.
So this is the third known copy, will this sale help solidify its place in the world’s rarest progressive rock LPs, watch this space...
