Description

Roland Kirk's very first LP which is one of the most sought-after jazz LPs of all time. It's an ORIGINAL PRESSING of Roland Kirk's Triple Threat. This is a Black CROWNLESS King label from 1956. This DEEP GROOVE record sounds awesome  and is in amazing condition.
Don't take my word for it. I have a video linked below with the audio that was recorded from this vinyl. I used Audacity and captured the lp being played from my personal Denon turntable with a Shure M97x cartidge. Recorded from my laptop and did not alter the audio.
I know this album does not come around very often and is very hard to find. So I found this gem an an estate sale of a former radio dj in the Bristol Virginia area. I was brousing through thousands of albums and this one caught my eye.
This is an estate find and I collect records but am very new (2 years) to the vinyl community.  I am grading this through visual inspection and audio capture so the record has been cleaned using distilled water. I do not have a ultrasonic cleaner otherwise it might sound better.
The album cover : It was kept with thousands of albums in a basement for many year. It has some discoloration on the left bottom and smells slightly musty.  From looking at the cover it looks to be in great condition free of tears rips and writing. Please look at the pictures to verify but I believe the Cover is in VG to VG+ condition
The record: The record label has minimal wear on either side. It looks to have only been played a few times. Most side one looks to be in great condition only a hairline scratch and a few paper scuffs  that do not seem to effect the play . Side Two has another hairline scratch that does not seem to effect the play. Side 2 first song I would say would be VG and all the other songs would be VG+ in the light I see a few paper scuffs . See photos of light hairline scratch on both sides. I believe that this record is in VG + . Again "see pictures" and "hear audio" recording to verify.
I have looked up historical data on the record and I know it is super rare. It only comes up on ebay once a year at the most and usually the condition is very poor. I want to make sure that represent this item with the most detail and as being as forthright as I can. I know grading records is very subjective and some jazz collectors have issues with how to grade albums some people over-grade but I believe most under grade. I want to make sure that the collector is satisfied with the grade of the item that I am representing therefore I did not only take detailed pictures of any flaw that I saw. I made an audio recording of the album so you could hear how it sounds and choose for yourself if I am representing the pure grade of said album. That being said this listing is as is no returns. Again it is as is no returns  I will ship this internationally
Get this before Christmas. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask . I have been on ebay for many years and have great feedback. You are buying from someone who is reputable  and honest. I only ask the same in return and I am sure this will be the addition to your jazz collection that you have needed for many years. I believe this album is also a good investment and will increase in value as time goes on. Only so many were made in 1956 and this mono pressing of the Crownless king recording.
This is the Holy Grail LP of jazz collectors.

As many of you already know, vinyl from the 50's, 60's and early 70's might appear to have scuffs, etc but when played sound excellent, with no audible defects.  Vinyl from the mid-70's on might look fine but are sometimes crappy pressings, made with re-cycled vinyl etc. I go the extra mile to be accurate with my grading.
I ship records promptly and securely in record mailers with sufficient padding. BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Thank you.

here is a link below for my google drive file of the audio just in case the video  is blocked. Thanks If you have any questions I would be happy to answer.
