Record was found in a suitcase in a basement in Chicago. It was near other musty, dirty old records without a sleeve. I only used a wet terry cloth to wipe surface dirt / dust off--no other cleaning was performed. There is wear on the record, but surprisingly, no chips or cracks found. There are a few feelable scratches, but not many or anything extremely deep. There are a ton of scuffs and all over wear. Not really any sheen left. There is a pretty deep warp as well, but as you can see in the vids below, it plays without a skip on both sides. The labels are mostly all legible--have good color. They show wear and spindle marks.
I only have one of those old Califone record players that plays at 78 rpm, so just gave it a little test for this video to check the severity of the warp. You will hear plenty of noise. I am sure with a good cleaning and and a better 78 player, it will sound better of course--but to be clear--it is not a pristine copy. Both sides play without skipping and without noticeable repeating pops - just a consistent noise floor.
