Description

REG_3304 JOHN LEE HOOKER "Notoriety Woman" / "Never Satisfied" E+

Small edge chip not near run-in groove.

If you are seriously interested in this record I will record it to an MP3 for you.  There is a certain amount of faff involved so a small delay may be inevitable - sorry!  Each record is recorded in stereo at 24 bit resolution and then converted to MP3.  Absolutely no noise reduction or other editing other than the conversion to MP3 is performed.  If you need a higer resolution MP3 to listen to before bidding please do ask.

78rpm RECORD GRADES

N- Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.
E+ Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.
E Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E- Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches.
V+ An average condition 78 scuffs and genral use have dulled the finish somewhat.
V Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable.
V- Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages.
G+ Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.
G Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.
G- Music still prominent, but wear and scatch damage extensive.
F Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening now uncomfortable.
P Unplayable.

On winning an Auction

I would ask all successful bidders to make contact within 48 hours of the auction end.  I will endeavour to send you the Ebay invoice including the cost of shipping within 24 hours of the auction end.  I plan to be auctioning many records in the weeks to come so please let me know if you would like me to hang on to won records so that two single records aren't shipped out in a single month for example.

Postage And Packaging

Ebay's policy only allows for a maximum postage cost of £4.00 for records, however, with insurance (where available) and the packing described below the postage costs will be more than this. Buyers please wait for the Ebay invoice from me before paying so I can calculate the exact postage to your specific destination.  All packages both nationally and internationally will be quoted for using a delivery service offering delivery confirmation so that both buyer and seller will be covered by Ebay & Paypal safe selling/buying practices.  Please do ask at the time of bidding or within 24 hours of receiving the Ebay invoice if you would like another delivery service.

Here are some examples to give you an idea of what the final postage costs could be.

Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK £12.65 (insured up to £500) Next Day Delivery

MyHermes Budget Service within the UK £8 (insured up to £250) 3 - 5 Day Service

Royal Mail Airsure to FRANCE £24.49 (insured up to £500)

Royal Mail Airsure to USA £28.46 (insured up to £500)

Please remember that packed securely as shown in the photos below each record weighs around 1.3kg -1.5kg and the packing boxes and spacers cost around £4 per package.  Yes it's expensive... But you'll get your 80 year old record in one piece wherever you are in the world!

It's possible to fit up to 5 records in a single package without a great increase in postage price so please do wait for an e-bay invoice from me before paying.

Here's a recent testimonial regarding the quality and level of packaging:

""BOX CRUSHED - Brilliant Packing Saved the day - NOT A SCRATCH! The BEST OF EBAY!"
averychilidog - E-Bay Member

All records won in auctions will be packed as shown in the pictures. The record is sandwiched between 10" squares of stiff cardboard. This is then placed in a 10" cardboard box and taped up. The 10" box is then wrapped in bubble wrap in two directions and packed inside a larger box padded with more bubble wrap.

If you have won multiple records I will try and fit as many records as is possible for safe shipping in a single box to try and keep postage costs down.
