Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. 1966 first pressing with true STEREO mixes ...this is a HIGHLY collectible Original RAINBOW Capitol records BUTCHER COVER from 53 years ago...

INVESTMENT (((STEREO))) "BUTCHER" COVER !

1966 ORIG "BUTCHER COVER" - PEELED - 100% real deal, check photo closely and view any peel imperfections ...generally VERY clean, the Beatles legendary "butcher cover" portraits are M- CLEAN without tears, rips or other problems ...the peel was not 100% successful, though the original owner took hours of patient time, only having peel trouble spots as shown at far left and a small spot of far right. Otherwise VERY clean as you can see. STEREO "butcher" covers are of highest regard in global collector circles, often obtaining up to twice or more the $ amount that mono copies get. Even better news is the stunning M- clean original '66 record, both sides, smooth and clear, playing without surface problems!

#5 at RIAA symbol meaning a Los Angeles California Capitol Records pressing from 1966

......................................................................................................

This is a PEELED 'trunk cover' ... the paste-over 'trunk cover' was peeled many years ago by the meticulous/patient original owner, before "peeling" services became known (costly as they are at that!)

......................................................................................................

THINK TWICE: holy grail BEATLES "butcher" cover like this is in high demand, will only continue to increase in value. Here's a decent example of the '66 high-end collectible!

Future timeless investment item, don't doubt us on that.

By the time the Capitol Records released Yesterday And Today, the Beatles were in hot water in America. The record was released just after John's infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus", which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incineration's of memorabilia. But Yesterday And Today would take public disapproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher's smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them. The record was pulled almost immediately - creating an instant collector's item - and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued. Songs on the album were taken from the 'leftovers' of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the single/B-side "Yesterday/Act Naturally" (released on the UK version of Help!), the single/B-side "We Can Work It Out/ Day Tripper", and three songs which had not, in 1966, been released in the UK: "I'm Only Sleeping", "Doctor Robert", and "And Your Bird Can Sing" (which all wound up on the UK  -only version of Revolver).

CONDITION: The cover: rated: VG+ front, though besides the far left and spot at far right, is rated near "Excellent" = very clean are all 4 Beatles in their legendary "butcher" cover pose (look closely at photo and see just that!) Investment/collectible properties have a high value ceiling, as far as the rare stereo edition is concerned! Overall, the seams are totally solid, spine reads without text wear loss which is rare for a Butcher cover! The back cover is pretty clean (still white!) though has visual wrinkles from front peeling process. The wrinkles ONLY apply to the slick and the flat & square with sharp corners back cover is not affected (no warps or bends to the cover - very important!) 53 years onward most butcher covers have age spotting, soil, grime, dirt and wear - or worse!

Perfectly peeled Butchers covers are very scarce, selling quickly, as the stereo edition for up to $3000 or more in documented past sales. Most original '66 (STEREO) butcher covers are safely tucked away in private collections ... An obvious timeless investment item, has no bends, no writing & no delete marks

The vinyl ... rated M- TOP COPY, no problems anywhere...smooth and clear highly shiny original 1966 vinyl over both sides!!! Just as nice are the spotless 1966 rainbow Capitol labels are clean
