RARE PINK FLOYD Original Radio Spots Live In Pompeii 74
April Fools Films AF-Floyd-1     Up for auction is this very rare 1974 Pink Floyd EP of 12 commercials or Radio Spots for the movie / Cinema Experience "Live in Pompeii" some also referred to this as the Pink Floyd Movie at the time. This record is exceptionally rare and you'll find very little reference to it on the net although a gentlemen named Vernon Fitch has a great website where it's listed. I have exchanged Emails with him and can state he's a fine gentleman. I have borrowed this information from his site just to make it easier for your bidding but he gets ALL the credit for compiling it. Description:
Label: Side 1 has a yellow label, and side 2 has a pink label.    Anyway the record the best way for you to know about this record is the pictures and video. There is plenty of wear but of the 12 tracks I'd say 7-8 are playable and the B side plays the best which is a drag to me because other than the Commie Commercial I think the A side spots are better, less campy, and fewer if any skips. I didn't play much of the skips in the video but there is one track that isn't the worst but shows some skipping. ASK QUESTIONS if you are uncertain about anything I would rather have that than us unhappy with eachother after the deal OK?

I'm not a vinyl seller on a regular basis so I cannot grade these as well as most but I'd say the Vinyl is probably at best a fair some might say good but with the A side having that big scratch and the B side have a area of scratches I don't see how, again keep in mind this is subjective since this isn't my normal area of dealing. I do have decent pics and A Youtube Video so you can hear it. One thing to note I shot the video with a Canon Powershot so you can add about 20% to  sound quality once it's on a decent stereo system. Also it's Pink Floyd so I did go a touch over board on the video, forgive me but man it's Floyd OK I had to have some fun with it since I don't get to keep it. There are pictures and the video below this description, if your browser doesn't like the video code there is a link as well to go right to the youtube page.
The packed shipping weight will be between 1 and 2 pounds. Keep in mind packed shipping weight includes the item(s), packing material, and a strong corrugated box (yes this obne will ship in a box for safety) to insure safe delivery. See pictures sometimes they are the best guide to bidding.

We do NOT do anything to most items we find. Our experience shows that you, the collector, know more about these things than we do. Most people will tell you a dealer knows a little bit about a lot of things. We don't want to do anything that could change an item in a way that would be undesirable to the eventual owner. Some people like an aged look or patina and others want items to look as if they were just made and that decision isn't ours to make. We specialize in acquisition not restorations.

Also in so far as smoking concerns go we can make no judgement. If the estate was obviously a smoking home we disclose it but my wife and I both grew up with smokers and were smokers when we were younger and we're immune to the smell of tobacco as a result so PLEASE keep that in mind while bidding. Please see the pictures, they are your best guide to bidding AFTER reading the description.

Please note that while it looks what in the pictures  Side 2 of the EP is actually a very light Pink Color. It's a Trick of the Lighting that it looks white.

It's close to this Color below but still lighter, Ebay only offers so many color options

There is one other thing I should have noted about this record. Because they were commercials this record will not play through like a regular EP would. They did something to the the groove between tracks to make it stop and hold unlike the runoff groove that would send the turntable arm back to the start position. Each track has to be played individually with the arm being lifted and the needle reset to play the next track. I apologize for this omission.
