Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: ((SEE POSTED RATES))   Discount shipping on multiple RECORDS in same order. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

FINAL COLLECTION COPY! MINTY CLEAN!  Legendary ORIGNIAL 10-inch VINYL pressing with GREAT cover art photo of the mighty ZEP This highly sought after collectible is well known and discussed in Zeppelin collector circles - released in micro quantity some 27 years ago and not getting any easier to find...check the meseum prices it's fetching and you'll know why... The 10-inch multi tracks pressing features studio sound quality is from a series of rehearsal sessions in Bron-yr-aur cottage, UK and India from 1970-1972. Featuring the one known outtake from Led Zepplin "III"  titled "Poor Tom" [ recorded 5/6/1970] Works in progress rehearsals of ..."The Immigrant Song": That's a voice at the beginning incidentally which somebody said was a wailing guitar. On stage this number has already developed into a much longer thing, with full instrumental passage. The hiss at the beginning is a tape build-up, then John Bonham comes in. It's not really tape hiss, it's echo feed-back. Robert wrote the lyrics to this one.

Works in progress, rehearsals of "Out On the Tiles": This is Bonzo's riff. Originally we had a set of lyrics to go with this relating to a night out on the tiles.
Works In Progress, rehearsals of "Friends": Again Robert wrote the words. He did them all except Tangerine. The idea was to get an Indian style with the strings. The string players were not Indian however, and we had to make on-the-spot changes. John Paul Jones wrote an incredible string arrangement for this and Robert shows his great range - incredibly high. He's got a lot of different sides to his voice which comes across here. It has a menacing atmosphere. A friend came into the studio during the recording and it was bloody loud and he had to leave. He said: "You've really done something evil!" Moog synthesizer at the end, and that's bottle-neck string bass with John Paul playing.  The Bombay India version of "Friends" is far superior to the studio released version. Roberts vocals are mesmerizing, his approach to singing in this version is very different to anything he has ever done. These '72 Bombay sessions eerily presage the entire Page & Plant UnLedded era (even though Plant & Page used primarily Egyptian musicians...pretty awesome!!!   Side 1:Immigrant Song 1, Immigrant Song 2, Out On The Tiles, Bron-Yr-Aur, Poor Tom, Hey Hey What Can I Do
Side 2:"Friends" tracks 1 through 5 Recording: excellent mono/stereo cassette demo recordings & soundboard.
Source: Bombay, India Mar. '72 rehearsal with the members of Indian musicians. Headley Grange Studios, Hampshire, United Kingdom May '70. Bron-Yr-Aur Cottage, Wales, United Kingdom May '70.
