Description

I just found this EP in an old NYC jazz collection along with some Sarah Vaughn and Dinah Washington ep's. It's the very rare Roy Brown King EP and an absolute gorgeous Mint- copy. It's a top loading cardboard sleeve (record slides in from top, not side) which means it's a first press from '53. The cover is super nice with only a small 1" section on the left side that's just starting to split. It's hardly noticable and could be mended easily (I've included a photo of it below). The scan of the cover makes it look hazy where the track titles are, but it's not. The cover is 100% as issued by King records. The vinyl is terrific and Near Mint, or what some grade as Mint-. Record has been stored seperate from cardboard sleeve in a King sleeve, and cover has been kept in a plastic sleeve. Most copies, when they turn up, are pretty beat. So here's a chance to own a close to perfect copy of an impossible to find ep. For those of you that care, the labels are perfect with no writing, stickers, numbers, tears, or anything. Cuts are "Rockin' At Midnight", "Love Don't Love Nobody", "Bar Room Blues", and "Boogie At Midnight". Considering the rarity and condition, I've put a very reasonable starting bid. Please feel free to email me with any questions. (ps., I'm looking for the Ravens Rendition ep w/cover). Thanks for looking.
