QUEEN
“FLASH GORDON”
“Original Soundtrack Music By Queen”
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original EMI Records very first STEREO press released in Chile in 1980 by EMI Records, made and distributed by EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A. (EMI Chile), with traditional brown/red labels with black lettering and red “EMI”, catalog number 5257 (32c 064-064203), with hand etched matrix numbers EMC-3351 A in Side A and EMC-3351 B in Side B. WOW!!! Another TOP RARITY record from Chile!!!
“FLASH GORDON” was originally released in 1980 by EMI Records in Europe and in 1981 by Elektra Records in USA. The same year it was released in the UK, 1980, we got this album released in Chile and like in so many cases of the period we got an UNIQUE full laminated flipback cover made of 2 single pieces of cardboard, with front cover pasted on the flips of back cover. Front and back cover keep strictly the original artwork, with all text written in English, with the only difference that in back cover is the catalog number and EMI Records logo at top right corner and at the bottom right corner is written “Marca Registrada, Fabricado por EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A. Santiago -Chile” (“Trademark, Made by EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A. Santiago - Chile”). In labels the tracklist is written in English only with full credits for songwriters and additional information “Queen Productions Ltd. – Sterling Productions Ltd.”, with no year informed. Well, if this MEGARARE issue of “Flash Gordon” is known for collectors for the UNIQUE orange-tinted back cover, please see the tracklist, the song “Football Fight”, correctly written in back cover, it’s misspelled “FOTTBALL Fight” in Side A, and the song “Flash’s Theme Reprise (Victory Celebrations)”, also correctly written in back cover, it’s misspelled “Flash’s THE Reprise…” in Side B!!! So, yes Sirs, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE PRESS of “Flash Gordon” with UNIQUE ORANGE-TINTED BACK COVER and UNIQUE ERRORS, rarely seen and very few times auctioned here in eBay!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Art/Prog Rock and especially for all fans, lovers and collectors of Queen and Freddie Mercury!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in EX or EX+ condition both sides, clean and clear, complete, no marks or names written, only very light ring marks, some minimal wear in edges, more evident in corners, some creases, but with all seams fully intact. The record is in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some scuffs and hairlines, and very light scratches, hard t osee at first sight, which don’t affect play. Labels in both sides are in absolute NM- or NM condition, clean and clear, free of marks of any kind, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only some light crackles here and there and some occasional soft pops and clicks in parts, more evident in the silent parts and dialogs, which don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end, but I’d recommend a professional vacuum cleaning. Overall, this record could not to be for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure it’s still in a great condition for any serious collector who knows this record is a real rarity of Queen no matter the condition and let me tell you again that here you have the chance to get and own this record with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE ORANGE-TINTED BACK COVER only used here in Chile and UNIQUE ERRORS also found only here in Chile and all in great condition, with a very nice look of cover and record, with almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 45 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile
_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (September 2024)
Because the UK’s tax authority, Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), requires eBay collect VAT information from sellers with UK customers, I’ve been informed that I need to have a “valid UK VAT number on file” to sell to UK customers. As I live in Chile and all my items are shipped from Chile, I don’t have an “UK VAT number”, so I’m sorry to inform that I’M FORCED TO EXCLUDE THE UK FROM MY WORLDWIDE SHIPPING POLICY. If you live in the UK and you’d like to bid/buy some of my records, please contact me, I’m sure we could find some solution.
If you have some doubt or question, feel free to contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
